Renovación del plan de estudios en la carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí // Renewal of the study plan in the Mechanical Engineering career of the Technical University of Manabí
Abstract
Abstract
The objective was to propose changes in subjects to improve the general knowledge of engineering and maintenance management in the Mechanical Engineering career of the Technical University of Manabi. Two surveys were designed to know how the graduates reflected their knowledge in the area of maintenance engineering and management knowledge as well as the requirements they were expected to have for the industrial sector of the province of Manabí, fundamentally as well as validating these tools through the Kuder-Richard method. Relationship matrices were implemented to know if the current subjects of the mechanical engineer's study plan complied with the requirements requested by the industrial sector. The main results obtained showed that they did not meet the requirements, so two new subjects and their objectives were proposed to solve the deficiencies detected.
Key words: maintenance study plans, maintenance management, Kuder-Richard method
